Or near free.

Many people assume that I must spend a lot of money to school my kids. I've also heard numerous times that someone can't homeschool because it is too expensive. Granted there are some pretty pricey curricula out there but that isn't always the case.

When I buy books, unless it's a workbook, I get it used. I also use Paper Back Swap to get books. I like to check out flea markets and yard sales. I'm always finding bargains on books I have on my wish list. I honestly don't spend all that much on our school books.

I'm sharing links, that I know of, to sites where you can get a pretty inexpensive education for your child. I'll be adding more to this list as I discover it.

Check back often! I'm always adding to these lists.

"Education is thus a most powerful ally of humanism, and every American school is a school of humanism. What can a theistic Sunday school's meeting for an hour once a week and teaching only a fraction of the children do to stem the tide of the five-day program of humanistic teaching?" — C.F. Potter, signer of Humanist Manifesto 1930

"Open war is upon you whether you will risk it or not!" — Aragorn, "Return of the King"
